"He does not possess wealth, it possesses him" can have  so many meanings but the one thing I take from that quote is money controls you even though you may think it doesn't. Money also changes you in so many ways from your attitude to your personality. I believe that money can destroy people even though they have a mansion with a husband and three cars with a personal butler for each floor in their mansion. I think this quote is trying to say that someone who is rich should keep therselve on check because money will change you although it could be the best thing you think you have had so far in your life. In conclusion i believe the quote "He does not possess wealth, it possesses him" means money is a cruel cruel thing and if you don't realize it sooner you will become a poor man within minutes.
